April/May

Big fun!!
Dardenup draft was held on the weekend with the whole family competing!!
The cattle for the ladies draft on Friday were almost huggable ie soft, pliable and helpful. Supplied by Jackie and Pete from Triskele dairy, the good cattle made for lots of outside scores and gates but sadly none of the above for mum!!!
Ross had his first run in the restricted open on Daddy’s Diva, placing 3rd after having a couple of well put together runs.
The young horses went very well with Spins My Daddy having a great run and Acres To Spin achieving an outside score of 64 and 4, however low camp scores kept them both out of the money.
The kids had a hoot with one winning a cutout and the other placing well both days.
Once again, Spin on Command was well represented, with progeny winning and/or placing in almost every event!
Thank you.
An enormous thank you to Jackie Hall. She is an extraordinary person, very talented horsewoman, gifted photographer and above all, very genuine. It seems that we have received more than we have been given everytime we catch up with Jackie and Pete and we hope to even it up soon.

Feet are getting wet then dry then wet again, so look out for abcesses this time of year. Also for founder with the new green feed popping up! With this wet then dry then hot then cool weather, hoof abcess cases seem to be everywhere! if you think your horse has brewed an abcess, call us anytime to discuss options.
Fresh coffee now available in the Barn! When you next have your horse in with us, ask Ross to make you a fresh (and free) pod brewed coffee.
