Breakaway Stud is situated near Northam, a newly announced “supertown” an hour east of Perth and nestled on the banks of the Avon River in the gently rolling farmlands of the beautiful Avon Valley region of Western Australia.
Owned and managed by Ross and Angela Hall and established in 1997, Breakaway Stud is one of Western Australia’s oldest Quarter Horse studs. We aim to produce quality horses from sires and dams selected for type, temperament and trainability so the progeny are “Built to Perform, Bred to Excel!”
The bloodlines of our horses are among the best available. Docs Spinifex, Docs Freckles Oak, Acres Destiny, Highbrow Cat and the now famous ‘Duck’ line can be found in our stallions and mares and they are consistently producing drafters and cutters that are competitive and winning.
