November

Stud News.We are soooo excited… think levitating!!!!!!!! Our Spinifex mares have arrived!!! The NCHA money earning mares are Roses for Emmy and Freckles Sundance (by Docs Spinifex himself) and are both in foal to Dual Windstorm, an extraordinarily well performed stallion whose progeny are just getting out and about now. With one mare due to foal in October and the other in late November, we are super excited to have these mares and very thankful to Graham Whyte of Chinchilla for the opportunity. Male foals may be offered for sale.
Out and About.Well, to be honest we havent been anywhere lately. The purchase of the farm and getting set for stud season means we have had to be head down-flat out for a bit.
However…Look for us at GinGin campdraft on October 25,26,27 as we again proudly sponsoring “the Duck Cup”! This will be the third year we have been involved with this event and it just gets bigger and better. Among other prizes including diamond earrings and even cash, a service to event namesake Duck N Lethal is added. We will also be there to answer all of your questions regarding breeding, campdrafting and everything in between. Lots of “Duck stuff” give-aways, drinks and giggles will make it a huge weekend!
Other News. The campdraft team is in from the paddock and starting their jogging up work. This season we will have a selection of maiden, novice and open horses as well as the kids horses to truck. One powerball and we could/would/should have a bigger truck!!!
Farm Update. We have 220 acres of “the best looking hay in the neighbourhood” just about ready to cut. As we feed the same hay to our very precious broodmares (its always about the girls !!!) and stallions, our hay buyers can be assured its good hay! If you would like pre-order hay and only pay at delivery, let us know.

Farrier NewsWe are cautiously excited about the product “Laminil” currently being trialled in the USA. If proven safe and effective it could mean all the difference to horses and ponies with laminitis in all its forms. We hope that once approved by the US FDA, a WA and even an Avon Vally vet with a sound knowledge of this condition and how this product could change the outcome will get involved. Mostly, we are so happy that research into this debilitating problem continues.
